pottery collective in Amsterdam

we're independent makers, creating and selling artisanal ceramics, and teaching those who want to get their hands muddy

pottery is still alive

our ethos

we pursue humanity’s oldest craft, continuing a tradition that connects us to generations of makers who came before us, setting in stone a snapshot of the present for eternity.
if a pot we made is found long after we’re gone, we believe it should be a handmade piece made of local soil, that carries our diverse backgrounds, culture, and worldview.
pottery is a timeless craft, a way to speak to future generations who might uncover our the stoneware we left behind. as independent makers we wish to serve our local community and tell an honest story of humanity.

the founders

we are four independent potters and good friends, sharing a collaborative workspace where we create our ceramics

Karez

ritual, flavour and aesthetics define the essence of Karez's design. each piece invites a moment to pause within the chaotic rhythm of everyday life, creating experiences worth savouring.

Yotam

with background in graphic design, Yotam sees shapes as geometry, enjoying to explore the line between form and function. he celebrates the qualities his clay, allowing its natural properties to be felt and admired.
