Mudspot Amsterdam

making Amsterdam a better plate

pottery isn't dead.

we pursue humanity’s oldest craft, continuing a tradition that connects us to generations of makers before us, setting in stone a snapshot of humanity’s present for eternity.
if a pot we made is found long after we’re gone, it should be a handmade piece that carries our backgrounds, culture, and worldview, not an impersonal mass-produced mug.
pottery is a timeless craft, a way to speak to people who might uncover our work long after we’re gone. as independent makers we’re not here to feed the economy, but to tell an honest story of humanity.

the founders

we are four independent potters and good friends, sharing a collaborative workspace where we create our ceramic work

Chinese teaware and Japanese tableware, Daan employs carving and bamboo brushing techniques, finishing each piece with unique glaze combinations developed through hands-on experimentation.

Karez
